Front Double Starter weight

I been looking for a Front Double stack starter weight for my JD4000. Found one and I'm not sure if it is the correct weight. The part number on it is R44350. Is this a starter weight that will work for my JD4000? There should be side brackets for this?

There are side plates. Punched flat bar with
plates welded 90 degrees to bolt on front.

The side brackets are most generally harder to find than the front pad. I have a couple front pads here but am missing the side pieces. That is the right number for the pad though.

Yup, that is the correct part number for the double starter weight. The support bracket is:

5 - SUPPORT
Part Number
AR46289

If you have a good welding shop with an iron worker to punch the holes they should be able to make new side frames exactly like the originals. Once painted it would be impossible to tell the difference.Tom

There is some model of front mount cultivator that takes the same brackets I have been told? Will help you to expand your search some.

We have lots of livestock both beef and dairy so we have great support. There are three shops within 40 miles of me that could turn those out just like factory. Tom

Where are you located? There is a great shop in Coon Valley WI called Chaseburg Manufacturing. With a sample they could make those also. Paul. Oh, I am by La Crosse, WI.
