Front End support

Well I am putting the front end back onto my 35 and I am thinking there is supposed to be a collar around the pin and shims to keep it from moving back and forth but I dont see them in my manual. Isnt there supposed to be a collar around the pivot pin and some shims there as well. Mine had absolutely none.

No shims or collar. The support pin has a 5/8 NF bolt to hold the pin in, and the two side stay rod arms keep the axle from moving back and forth. There are shims at the foot pegs to tighten the rod ball socket end, remove shims if needed to tighten the end.

Thats what mine had, no shims or collar. My 8N had both shims and a collar and it just looked like it should have something there.The bushing in the front axle was tight and the pivot pin was worn so I replaced it, the radius rods were tight so all I replaced was the tie rod ends.
