Front Loader Teeth Qustions

I have a Wagner loader on my 2N. It came with some steel bars that are over 1" thick and tapered a one end. They look like the teeth I've seen on back hoes. I'm assuming the teeth go on the the slope facing up, but my real question is do the bolt to the top or the bottom of the bottom lip on the loader bucket.
Thanks,
Bill

I've always seen them mounted tapered down at the front.
They were used to load manure and bolted inside the bucket.
There was also a slide-on tray that went on them to extend
the bucket to the length of the teeth. It had a flat steel plate
that went under teeth and square loops to fit over the teeth.
The flat steel plate lined up with the bottom of the bucket.
