Anyone have tips or tricks for the electronic ignition conversion on a 43 8N front mount distributor?. Wasn't impressed with the cover that replaces the coil. I wish the instructions had more
pictures.

My biggest question is where to mount the 12V coil? the instructions say "upright" on my 53 8N the coil is mount horizontally. Ill try to post some pictures

I had a head bolt with some extra threads on it mounted it there.

ny where that is convenient, vertical, horizontal, upside down, position is a "don't care".

Some coils back in the day were made to be positioned in different positions due to the fluid used inside to cool or whatever . I have a 47 Studebaker that the coil is mounted upside down and there is quite a few that way . The newer coils you get today are probably meant to mount with the terminals in the up position for that reason .
