Front Mount Distributor

I have a couple of used original distributors that have siezed centrifugal advance mechanisms. I have one soaking in Kroil and the other in gunk. The distributor bodies were clogged with somewhat hard carbon. There isn't evidence of rust being the siezure cause. One the drive end of one of them is a screw between the drive tangs. It turned about a half turn, but no more. The other has a brass seal where the other has a screw. Has anyone experienced this problem and found a solution? Heat?

he screw plugs the hollow shaft , behind which is a felt wick, which initially was oil soaked. The oil was intended to seep out a small hole in the side of shaft to keep bushing oiled. Pretty sure it has not lasted this long.

I am trying to disassemble the cam from the drive shaft. I removed the ring retainer and the washer that seems to be the retainer for the cam. Should the cam lift off from the centrifical weights?

am and weights are one assembly that lifts off of the shaft which has the slotted plate on it.
