I wonder? If anyone could post a few pictures that show how to mount a dearborn loader on an 8n? A picture is worth a thousand words. I believe so. I have the rear correct. I wonder if I need to fabricate some kind of plate for it. What a headache. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the help. The loader is on the tractor now.
So now I need to figure out which plate you sent me. don't want to order a plate and end up not getting the right one.

But Thanks again,

Thanks theoldhokie, now I get it.

What model loader do you have? Mine is a 19-21 with the drop bucket. I can send you pics of it if you still need them

I don't know if it's a 19 or 20. there are no tags, date,
Mine is 1948. And I have the trip bucket too. But I also need the pins for the bucket I don't know what they call them, You bet, If I had some photos that would be awesome.

There is always some kind of front hanger bracket for these loaders. Unfortunately they often get left behind, still bolted to the tractor that the loader came off of. I have seen many ways one is fabricated to attach to both tractor and loader.

While not a Dearborn, this is a Wagner, it shows one way. This is the style TOH linked to.

I will try to shoot a bunch of pictures of mine this weekend.

There were three Dearborn loaders like mine. 19-21, 19-22, and 19-23. I think it was the 23 that had a hydraulic bucket that was offset to the right side using a bolt on bracket. My bucket actually has a bracket on the upper right corner for connecting the hydraulic cylinder even though the 21 had only the drop bucket but I don't have the bracket to mount one there. These were early 50's I believe.

On my trip bucket, it wasn't staying locked due to rounding of the end of the pin which I cleaned up with a grinder to make it flat on the end to solve that problem. If the hole in the bucket is rounded out, you would have to put a bead of weld around it to build it back up so the pin doesn't slip back out. If you don't have a pin, you can probably just get a piece of steel rod big enough to have an easy sliding fit and drill a hole for a cotter pin to hold it to the linkage.

I don't remember looking at my mounts very closely but I think my rear ones have quick release pins. That causes the back of the monkey bar frame to bang up and down on the rear axle housing though. Makes for noisy operation I may put a rubber pad under them. I will have to check to see how the front ones are mounted.
