Any tractor shop can get what you need if they don't have it. You can tell them the diameter and number of splines, or get some plasticine or modeling clay at a dollar store and bring them a mold. Or I'm sure you can order online.

What are you looking for? Splines come in standard sizes, 1 1/8x6, 1 3/8x6, 1 3/8 x21. If Yanmar dealers don't have, you will need to fab a drive shaft with your spline on 1 end and standard 1 3/8x6 on the other.

Norm Thats what I have been thinking Surplus center in Neb. has some niece shaft stright or splined so I would have the front spline bored off the adapter and have a 1 3/8 -6 welded in about 12 in long and support with a pillow block

That sounds about right. nnalert.com also has parts to do it. you will need "U" joints, (cross & bearings).

thanks Alan its not an american PTO spline its metric and jap
I can't understand why Hoye sells it for $79.77 and no way to attach any thing to it.
Thanks for the input Alan

If rushgears doesn't do metric you could try paulbparts.com or tractorpartmart.com. Or a tractor salvage yard.

just another issue , the front PTO shaft points to the center of the battery , so before I do anything I will have to weld up a battery mount 4 inches higher then the battery mount that's there.

Yep, if you look at the on line 165 parts list it shows a good picture of the optional battery box. Just curious, what are you going to use the pto for?

Winston to tell you the truth I do not know just trying to figure out its purpose ,just behind the bumper is a cross member with bolt holes and a semicircle cut out ,I am wondering if its for a aux hyd.Pump for a front end loader .and no one that owns a 155 seems able to give info .there is a pic of the tractor with hyd hoses going in front of the hood , don't remember which pic it was
thanks for the info

Well thank you. I confess I give out bad or wrong information sometimes so be careful what you believe if I had anything to do with it. <E></E>
