front rim 2240

Front rim on my 4wd 2240 takes a 9.5x24 tire. The rim has 6 welded studs that bolt onto an 8 hole wheel. Turns out that Deere doesn't carry them any more. the one I have is so far gone that it can't be welded,out of round and edges rolled over. Any idea where I might find one? web search of junk yards unprofitable. Are there specialty wheel sites that might help? or some other source? thanks

I don't know if this will help or not, but Miller Tire offers a 8X24 and a 9X24 flat base rim for $80 and $90 respectively. If I understand you correctly about your wheel, the center bolts on to the rim???? Could you cut the mounting lugs off the old rim and weld them to a new rim and use the old centers (assuming the centers aren't also too bent up to use)? Just throwing out a possibility. Mike

Yes, the center bolts onto the tractor and to clamps on the inside of the wheel see picture. the holes 11" center to center and the clamps are 19.5 center to center. as you can see, things are pretty far gone. thanks for the suggestion
