front tires on 8n

Computer has been down for awhile, so I need to do some catchup.Normally I just read the post and learn a lot from them. I had a friend that was having trouble with his n, and I want to thank Bruce for helping me out on trouble shooting. Everything you said was great and it runs now, problaby better than it has for along time. Again thanks.
I know I have read it here where you can use Caravan Spare donuts for front tires on a n.I don't like how the triple ribs tear up the turf when you turn.question is will the caravan wheels fit the hubs?

If you have 19" wheels, find a Model A Ford friend. If he has a 1930 or 1931 Model A - he probably has some worn-out 19" tires that will work real well on an N. If he has a 1928 or 1929 Model A - he will know someone that has a 1930 or 1931 Model. If you cannot find a guy with a Model A - check out the national organazation at www.MAFCA.COM

As Neal says. I also think motorcycle tires will also fit a 19" rim. Harleys are more common than Model As.
You can also buy new rims that will fit an 8N. I paid about $40 apiece for these 6"X14" implement rims a few years ago. I run 14" car radials on them. Tubeless! All the free takeoffs you want and not a lot of scuffing on the lawn when mowing.

get a set of multi-ribs.. they are a much better tire than a tri rib if you have a laoder or don't want to tear up lawns.

I did what soundguy suggested. I used 16" multiribs on my 8N. They work great - no lawn tear out like the tri-ribs. They look good too. Much like tractor tires should look.

Got the multi-ribs from Tucker for about a hundred bucks or so with tubes.

I have the worn Model A tires you can have.
Just put 5 new Goodyears on the 1930 Coupe. Free to a good home (I knew not to junk them).

Not sure I"d use them on my 8N.
