Front weights for a C

Does any one have a set of front weights for a C that they would cosider selling? Preferably fairly close to St. Louis.

You know I have owned a few Cs and a few Bs and have never seen a set of front weights for either one. I do have some weights that could be set up to work on them but have no real idea what they are off of

I have seen weights that mount along side the motor and my parts book shows slab weight that I assume mount to the front of the tractor. I'm about 3 hours east of the lake so I would hate to drive that far and not find what I am looking for. If you could post or email photos, that may help. E mail is open.

Well I know these are not the slab weights your talking about. These are 2 piece weights that would bolt on to a B or C but would not be correct but would work. I do know if you came out here and saw the front lift I have on my C you would probably try top con me out of it LOL. I'll try to go out here in a bit and drag one in so I can take a poor picture of it since that is all my cam will do is take poor pictures but you would get an idea

Here is a picture of a pair of them. I have no idea what they are off of or what they fit. The smaller on has this # PO1038 and the bigger one PO2127

I don't have any for sale but <a href="http://personalpages.tds.net/~thompson_wp/acb/sidewts/sidewts.htm">here</a> is what the engine side weights for both Bs and Cs look like and how they mount. As far as front weights go <a href="http://personalpages.tds.net/~thompson_wp/acb/wishbonewt/wishbonewt.htm">here</a> is what the front "wishbone" weights for a B look like and how they mount. As far as I know, there are no "knock-off" wishbone weights available so only the AC originals are out there. They are not that common but I have seen a few for sale over the years - expensive though. As I recall, a couple of years ago a pair of wishbone weights sold for about $300 not including shipping. Anyway, they would not fit a narrow front C. I don't know if there were ever any similar front weights for the narrow front C. I have seen some front wheel weights on a B that might also fit a C. I'm not sure if they were AC original or not.

There were side weights that were factory that fit on the side of the engine on a C or B. I have a set on My on B and a set on My C. I would sell one set, but a person would have to come here to get them. If any one is interested they can call Me 309-697-0138. I live close to Peoria IL.

I have monitored Allis forums going on 30 years. This is the first I recall that discusses the front weights for an Allis C. I happen to have a pair for my 1949 "C", however, they are not for sale. The picture of the bushing reminded me that I used a section of water pipe to fabricate mine. I will say it did take me a few years to find a set. Bought mine up in PA by the Delaware River North of Philly back in the eighties.
