front wheel weights?

Bought an 830 2 cylinder and has 4 weights on each front wheel part number R226A. They don"t look to me like they are correct for this tractor. Can anyone tell me if I am wrong or if not what they are meant to fit. Thanks

Interesting. It looks like the curve is about right, so the wheel diameter must be about right for those weights. Would two more fit if they were tight together? But then you would need six holes in the rim?

Yes they seem to fit in there reasonably well. I don't think 2 more would fit and yes only 4 holes in the rim. I just have never seen or heard of front wheel weights for an 830

They kind of look like the weights from the tail wheel of the John Deere Surflex one way disk tillers... but I think those were in 3 sections, not 4.

Are you sure that the number isn"t R226R? If it is, then the Master Parts Index lists them for the R, 80, 820, 830, 840, 70D, 720D, and 730D, but those weights don"t look like a fuel pump idler gear as shown as part #19 on page 35-9 in the 70D parts catalog.

BTW, if it actually is R226AW, then the weights would fit a bunch of disc tillers. I would have checked a parts manual for one of the disk tillers listed in the MPI to see what that part is, but JDParts.com only listed #25,26, and 27 Disk Tillers, not the Bantam, Small, Standard, and Heavy that the MPI says that R226AW fits.

Are you sure the last letter is an A? If its actually R 226R then its for an 80,830,840 70D,720D,730D & R. I looked the #'s up in the master parts index, but never found R 226A. Hope this helps. Kevin
