Fuel filter

I have a utility 300, can you put a inline fuel filter in the line, being a gravity feed system I'm not sure you can?
My W9 has an Electric Fuel pump, and a fuel filter off a Ford Tractor...Tractor operates perfect....:)
Never again shall a fuel pump fail and dilute the engine oil crankcase....:)
Fuel tank was totally rusted out. Installed a fuel tank for a WD9.......direct bolt on...,,Changed fuel supply lines
I picked up this Case 930...$75.00..Added a fuel filter and an electric fuel pump...Tractor operates perfect....:)

Why would a gravity feed fuel system need a fuel pump?
