fuel issues

I recently purchased a 2N that had been setting for a couple of years. I finally got some ignition problems solved, but now I"m not getting fuel to combustion chambers. I"m getting fuel from the bowl to carburetor and the unit will start briefly with starter fluid. I did a partial rebuild of the carburetor but something still not right. I"m trying to keep my expensives to a minimal until I at least get the unit running. I welcome all and any recommendations.

partial rebuild? that's what's wrong with it.

Take the carb apart save the gfaskets, and soak it then blow the ports out with spray and reassemble. JimN

For the minimal cost of a gasket set. I wouldn't consider re-using an already compressed gasket and hoping it seals.
As for a partial job? Any time I've cut corners or tried to economize. It's comeback to bite me in the backside and cost more in the long term.

I agree in every way but two. As we get into fuel costs that cripple the "value" of getting a new set, we will find old ones looking pretty good if they do not leak. If they do, it is usually just the body gasket, and it is easy to replace.
The second is that he indicated the need for reduced expense. JimN
