fuel pump on 574

Working around the place yesterday and noticed gas spitting out the bottom/side of the fuel pump. Parked it and looked but nothing looks obviously wrong. Any thoughts? Any tricks to changing the pump out?

The diaphragm is leaking in the pump. There is a hole n the bottom of the pump so that the fuel can leak out rather than go into the engine crankcase. Changing the pump is a matter of removing the two lines and two bolts.

I replaced the fuel pump on one of our 674's this spring, it didn't have a weephole on it, and was putting gas in the oil. Bought a new one from the local auto parts store, year warranty, made in Mexico unfortunately. Put it on, filled it with gas and checked for leaks while it was running before I had to use it for a bit. Changed the oil after I put the new pump on as well. Used it for about an hour, backed it in the barn across the road, did one last leak check, all was good, so I shut it off. 2 days later I could smell gas when the wind was coming across the road. Went and looked, new pump had leaked/gravity siphoned probably 15-20 gallons of gas out the weephole over the last 2 days all over the barn floor. Off came the new pump, got another one, warranty one, put that one on, has been 4+ months now, no problems. Wish they would have reimbursed me for the gas their new pump drained out on the floor.
