fuel shut off silcock

I know I ask alot of basic questions....thanks for everyone's help!!I need to air bleed fuel system on 245 diesel and boy is it taking FOREVER to get fuel flowing with manual pump (i have bumped starter also). I just want to make sure that fuel shut off silcock from tank is turned all the counterclockwise to open??

also, is this is the correct line for the fuel filter vent?? (I know there are two on the injector pump also) thanks

After bleeding all the filters and the 2 screws on the injector pump try cracking 1 of the injector lines at the injector while cranking. You should get fuel squirting out there if it is primed and it should start.

I also had a hard time figuring out on my 240 how to shut off the fuel too. My notes say to gently use a open-end wrench, or strong fingers, and turn the valve gently down about 3/16", and it is RIGHT-HAND THREADS, same as any ordinary bolt. And somehow that shuts off the fuel. Reverse that to open up to get fuel again.
