Fuel tank pumps

Looking for two 12V electric pumps, one for gasoline and one for diesel for mobile fuel tanks. Initially I was looking on Amazon and other websites where most of pumps were foreign made and/or didn't clearly state some important info like UL rating for gasoline. They all had terrible reviews as well. Local fuel guy sells a Fill-Rite SD1202H by Tuthill made in Indiana and 2 year warranty for about $400 each. Almost twice the price but I think the only made in USA option. Still, $800 bucks for two pumps is quite a bit. Looking at the farm trucks sitting at the feed store I see mostly fill rite pumps, or the markings are all worn off so you can't tell. Any other brand I should look at?

Gemplers sells a tutthill pump with accessories for the same money. I am assuming your fuel dealer is including the hose and nozzle. If you are buying new just get it from your local dealer.

Oriellys & SummitRacing carries Edelbrock units for both Diesel (green) & gas (red). I had good luck with the gas unit on a JD I did.

Oops, missed the fuel transfer part. Sorry about that.

The fillrites that I have are... rated for gasoline or diesel. The gpi pumps are rated for diesel only. Dont know if that has changed or not.

I would get them from your local fuel guy that way if you have any questions or problems they will be more likely to help you and make it right rather than getting help from a vendor online

I ve had my Fill-Rite 20 gpm 12 volt pump for 16 years
The meter shows it s pumped over 12,000 gallons during that time
Not much for some but a good amount for a small operator like me

Haven t hear anything bad about GPI brand but I don t think a aluminum housing gear pump will last as long as a cast iron pump

I d spend a little more and get a 15 gpm pump with cast iron housing
Fill-Rites 13 gpm pump is lighter duty with a cast aluminum housing

Thanks! Nearest HD is several miles away so I keep forgetting to check them. Free shipping even better. My local guy didn't seem to care if he sold fuel to a small guy like me anyway so just as well.

I think the aluminum pump will work for me, I don't expect to pump thousands of gallons and the tanks will be kept inside out of the weather. Biggest challenge will be keeping the fuel clean, I had lots of trouble like that with portable cans over the years and one of the reasons I'm investing in new storage. Thanks to all for the replies.

I sold fill rite pumps for 13 years. The 110 volt one I have on my diesel tank is 42 years old and has never been touched. I know it isn't a 12 volt, but the quality back then was the same for the 110 volt vs The 12 volt.
