With gas being cheap was thinking about buying a fuel tank. My neighbor has a 500 gallon tank with the electric transfer pump. He told me to
make an offer my concern is it has 100 gallons or so of diesel that has set in it. I could use in my tractors but not sure if fuel is still
good. Number two If I get the diesel out can I get the tank cleaned will enough to put gas in and if I can get it cleaned has it rusted to
the point inside that could be an issue the outside of the tank has been white and still in pretty good shape just a few rusty places. If I
were to purchase how much should I offer. I thought maybe $150. Any comments advice or anything else appreciated.

The diesel should be fine. As for cleaning the tank. get out what you can, and add your gas. The price you want to offer may be a little low. If he just wants to get rid of it your price may be fine. The diesel is worth what it is selling for in your area. Add that to your offer. Stan

Have you given any thought how you're going to move a 500 gallon tank with a 100 gallons of diesel in it??
