Got a leaky fuel tank when over halfway full. Was looking for input on where to buy one (THAT WILL FIT) unlike the radiator I bought that doesn't fit correctly and scrathes up my hood. Repairing is another option if anyone has had luck with that. Thanks for your help.

I have the same problem with my aftermarket radiator, the cap sits on the hood. Try dennis carpenter for your fuel tank, he does a lot of exact as original parts.

A lot depends on where you are at since they do not seem to like to ship used fuel tanks for some odd reason. I have 2 good used ones on hand but I am in Missouri

Thanks for the input, So has anyone repaired their gas tank? Is it worth the hassel? A
s for the radiator going to take the original in and have a new core put in it then sell that chinese P.O.S. to the highest bidder on craigslist.

best 150 I ever spent on my tractor was for a new gas tank--got tired of changing filters and plugging leaks...bought from this site - no issues installing-your mileage may vary.

I repaired mine with that putty you rub between your fingers to activate the hardner. Looked good and held real good for about a week. Then it started raining gas all over the top of the engine...while running. I ordered a new tank and like elmersooner said...best 150 I ever spent. You might find a good used one. I was just so fed up with my tank & didnt want the tractor sitting any longer that it had...that was about a year. Got mine from this site, bolted right in, problem solved.

Silicone will dissolve in gas. Now you can get seal all which is more like super glue and will stand up to gas... can get that cheap enough at walmart. Fixed a few weadeater and chainsaw tanks but nothing as large as a N gas tank.

You can seal it with Red-Kote tank sealer. Do a search online and you will find many places to buy it. It seals the rust so it won't clog carbs and fuel filters, and prevents any new holes. Sealed the tank on my '89 motorcycle and have driven it almost 20000 miles with no problems.

There are two ways to keep the radiator cap from scratching the hood. If anyone is interested, shoot me an email. Cheap way costs .50 cents the other way cost 10.00.
