Fule Tank Replacement

I have a 1955/56 VAI that has a few holes in the gas tank..mostly by the hold down straps

Would like to replace is with a new unit but. would consider a used one , possibly.

Is there a place where I can purchase a new tank and hold down straps

Have found tank sealer but will only go that route if necessary

At a tractor show or swap meet. I saw an individual who was making replacement tanks. It looked like he was exclusively JD. Perhaps someone has a name. Some tanks are unobtainable. I went the tank sealer route, its working now for about 3 years. gobble

New tanks are not available as far as I'm aware. Yours might very well be in as good a shape as any used one you can find. Those older tanks are often made of thicker material than new ones and often the holes can be welded or brazed. There's a radiator shop local to me in York, PA that welds them and fixes them after running the tank through the hot tank. You might consider this approach for yours.

I recall seeing one about two yrs ago online but did not need it at the time

I was hoping with all the companies that make fuel tanks/radiators one would have
Something for me.

Tank is not too soft but I would want to keep fixing something like this on an ongoing
