I haven't bought any new tractors this year cowdog. Yet....
Maybe when I find a good deal. I'm trying to get that danged
little Farmall finished and out of my shop. At least it's on all
four tires and outside at the moment. Pressure washed it today.

I didn't realize that Farmalls of that era ever had flatheads.
They went to OHV very early on didn't they?

Yes they did Terry but the little cubs kept them.
For this era they were a whopping 60 cubic inches
that produced about 8 drawbar HP at 1600 RPM.
Great little cultivating machines though with the
offset seat for visibility and the low fuel consumption.

My good friend gordon Lee was happy to tell me he had acquired his Grandpa's Super A tractor from someone Ron's wife had sold it to. His grandpa Ron Lee was a great old island pioneer and a dear friend. His sheep farm was halfway down one of our longest, steepest hills, Lee's Hill. I used to see him out in his fields on this one.
Here's the tractor at last year's fall fair, still in work clothes and Ron's wife Evelyn. She's 98!!

I told Gordon he was lucky to find the Super A before I did.

When I buy another toy I give her the same amount in cash for whatever she wants to spend it on . I am the only income and I pay the bills so this system works well . ( even with a multiple income you just split the piggy bank ) But now days she always hints "don't you need more tractor parts"
