I won't use the plastic venturis -junk. Most supply houses sell the plastic ones but you can find the brass ones if you look hard enough. I found the best place to buy carb parts/kits is on fleabay, and I really hate saying that. There is one place that makes and sells complete M/S TSX carb kits, I mean COMPLETE with brass float, brass venturi, all the parts, gaskets, studs, et al for under $50. It is well worth the $$$ and even if you don't use all the new parts, you can build a stock of new parts for future use. They also have the solid brass float needle valve -not the rubber tipped ones. I also do not buy any parts at Case/New Holland. They have no affiliation with Ford anymore, so don't think CNH will have quality stuff -they sell a lot of the Cheena-made junk like everyone else, and most of their parts are way overpriced. FYI: I was told by a friend who is salesman at my local CNG dealer they are trying to phase out all the old Ford N-Series Tractor stuff so keep their prices high. Many items are not even stocked anymore but can be ordered with a service 'stocking' charge added on. Heck they don't even make and sell the MC 134D hydraulic oil anymore. Note too Amazon doesn't make parts -they just sell whatever supply houses they Google. You can find the brass venturis, just have to look. Somebody still makes them...

Tim,
In defense of CNH here.
I'm working on a 3 cyl 4000 here.
Needed the Orings that seal the trumpets to the center housing - about 16" in dia.
Needed a gasket for a bearing retainer on the back end of the transmission, rubber boots for the brake rods, top cover and trans cover gaskets, cross shaft seals, special bolt for flow control, radiator hoses, plus several special orings for the Ipto. I looked up the part #s gave them to the dealer and had them ordered with their regular biweekly house order. No freight charges to get them in to the dealer but freight if I want them shipped from dealer to me. Everything in CNH packages, High Quality and nothing out of line cost wise.
I buy from YT too - engine parts, clutches, other stuff - but don't discount the dealer. On many items you can only get them from the dealer. They fit right and are still The Good Stuff.

Yes, they still have some quality parts in stock, but I know when I checked on some N-Series parts, they were ridiculous -$80 for a basic tune up kit??? Really? Plugs, points, condenser, and a cap -unreal. Also wanted $25 for a basic front mount distributor gasket kit -WTF??? Some basic items that use to be stocked, had to be ordered special now. It might be just the older N-Series stuff they are trying to phase out. Doesn't make good business sense though. Why not keep parts in stock, keep prices reasonable, and keep selling them? Like I said, they even quit making and selling the MC-134D oil now...pushing the newer Boomer models and stuff...
