Garden Tractor w/ random Pic

Looking at a GT18 craftsman on columbia CL. Has a Perkins engine, 16hp, It needs a starter and a steering wheel. Its about 2 hours awawy. He says the motor is free, deck is realy good and it has a rear 3pt. w/ scrape blade. $250 He will meet me half way. How costly is a starter & steering wheel?

If the motor is free, take it and run.
The original engines on a Sears Surburban of that
size was an Onan, or dead indian.
Sounds like it has been cobbled up if it has a
Perkins engine.
