Off to another less than stellar start. Part of the sweet corn did not come up. Watermelon in when it needed to be but the coolness has set it behind. Tomatoes, squash, and cabbage putting along. I want more sweet corn in but everything is too wet. If only I had a little spring tooth harrow to drag in back of the x500. Looking at late season options today. If we can dry I would like to plant some potatoes, beets, and carrots plus some broccoli.

my tomatoes and peppers seem to be doing ok. had to replant kohlrabi and beets. either some critter ate the seeds underground or they just plain didnt germinate. got 3 cherry trees that just ripened. they are the sourest cherries, whoo they'll make ya pucker. had 5 inches of rain saturday nite, flooded the fields again. already had standing water from the 6 inches we got last week. cukes and zuchinni seem to be doing good. peas and green beans... not so hot.

Sunlight and warmth equal sugar when it comes to fruit. Not surprised about the cherries and am expecting the same here. I need to make some decisions on new replacement trees. I know what I would like to do (purchase a small hillside that butts up to one of the farms) but finances will not allow it.

I replanted sweet corn once already. Still doesn't look good, but I ain't replanting again. I'll get what I get and be happy.

I was able to run the tiller through mine today and just got done placing the tomato cages, it hasn't rained for a couple days here but it's still wet. The wheat will be ready when it does dry out a bit,,but not sure how the ground will be, we had about 6 inches the past week..I'm in central Ohio

I just tilled mine the weeds were getting a good start..
