Gas leak

My To 30 leaks gas from the gas shut off. I ran to TSC today to get a new one the new one leaks worse than the old out of the fittings they are flare type fittings I tried some Teflon tape no fix I put a 3/8? quarter turn bras valve and reduced it to quarter inch rubber line wit a inline gas filter. The threads around the 3/8? nipple are wet with gas tonight what can I use to seal the threads up with on this

You do know TSC equals tractor parts form China as In the land of never right. Buy a SEDIMENT BOWL ASSEMBLY FORM SOEM PLACE LIKE Napa OR O'Reilly's or a good tractor dealer

I had trouble with new bowl leaking also. I tried new gasket etc and was ready to get another one. Gas was coming around line and coming down around glass bowl. After looking closer it was the plug on opposite side and gas was running around. I thought plug was tight from factory. I tighten it more and stopped the problem.Check to see if that is your problem with your new one.

I think that filter is backwards and should have an arrow on it.
