Gas tank cleaning

In the process of cleaning a fuel tank from a 57 super A. It's a little rusty inside but my bigger
concern is the previous owner used used Red Kote tank liner and its beginning to flake and peel
off. Any suggestions on how and what to use to remove this product and steps to take to prevent
future rusting. Thanks

I think acetone might remove it

My 450 just had 58 years of built up rust, grime, crud, what have you I the gas tank. The gas looked orange in the sediment bowl.
We took it off after draining, and pressure washed the you know what out of it. The crap that came out of it was astounding and would've filled a hat. Now gas is clear.
