Gas tank

The gas tank on my to35 has developed a leak. I was planning on just patching it but am also debating about just buying a new one. Any thoughts, opinions or helpful tips?

If it"s just a small local spot and not general rust all over the tank, consider getting someone knowledgeable in doing this SAFELY to repair it. Gsoline leaks are real safety hazard so you want to get this done as quickly as possible.

Replacing the tank is generally pretty spendy.

If you clean the oustide of the tank with a wire brush on a drill and wipe it down with some acetone JB Weld should seal it.

I sealed an oil pan like stated above and it's held up for years.
Check the JB Weld label for use on gas tanks.
I'm not sure if it is OK for gas.
NAPA does have external patch for gas tanks.

The best repair is brazing or welding.
