gaskets for 60 John deere

is it possble to but gaskets for a 60 model John deere tractor? I need gaskets for my hydraulic pump. I also need bushings for the idler gear. where are these parts sold?

Check YT for gaskets. Your Deere dealer has them too.

Dont believe you can buy the bushings for the hydraulic pump idler gear last time i looked. You will have to find a good used one. Try miller tractor in Kalona iowa. Then when you fet it drill and tap your backside of your hydraulic pump idler gear housing area to accept a break line fitting. Then plumb that, new line with a T into the line going to your oil pressure gauge so that it now will be supplied oil to the gear and bushing by your oil pump
.That bushing burns up a lot on tractors that have the pump in use a lot and it only gets splash lubrication carried allvthe way up from the gears on the cam and governor. I have some pictures on here from a few years ago on this mod. It works good. Gaskets can be bought from Deere or other aftermarket suppliers. Just Google jd 60 gaskets.

If Deere dont have the bushing you'll need to have one made at a machine shop.

Thanks. I went to my local JD dealer yesterday. You are right. The bushing cannot be replaced. You have to buy the idler gear unit. However, they could get it. I found that it was too expensive. I am hunting used.
