Im just about done putting my G engine back together after an overhaul. It had the 425 blocks on it and i swaped them out with 504 blocks. It has the bosch pump on it and i was wondering if you could turn the fuel up on it a bit? Or if you guys have any other power tips for me. I will only be pulling with this tractor from now on. Thanks in advance.

You might be able to get 90 to 100 pto hp. The g1000 was rated at 110 hp with the 504D engine. Airflow will be your limiting factor. You can't port the MM diesel heads because of the energy cells. You may not be able to make power, but you can always make smoke. I have a bosch pump on my UB diesel and I am getting about 70 hp. I don't have the fuel turned up much because I can't get enough air through the heads. I built the tractor 10 years ago and still have fun with it at tractor pulls.

MM Diesel, What did you do to your UB Diesel to get that much out of it? Bore - stroke- turn up pump? Just wondering for I just bought a UBED, but it only has about 45 ponies in it. It is totally stock.

I spent $1400 rebuilding the pump for lots of fuel, then had to turn it back because of lack of air. The heads have had some flow work. I bored a set of jugs to 5.125", but could not find flat top diesel pistons at that size, so I got another set of MM jugs and went back to stock MM pistons. The tractor will pull very well in 1st gear up to 7500 pound classes. I also have an M5 diesel, but I have never pulled the 2 tractors against each other .
