Gear oil for TO30

SO either GL1 or 10w-40 for BOTH the gear box and the engine oil?

GL1 90W is not really suitable for an Engine, you should use SAE30 above 50 deg F & SAE20 below, this oil has additives that are more suitable for use in an Engine. For use in the Transmission and hydraulics, use Multi-grade 10W/30,it will not get thick and gooey when cold like GL1/90W, thick oil is not good for hydraulics..John(UK)[email protected]
