I have a 1954 WD45 that pops out of 1st and 3rd gear. Is this a shift fork problem and if so will the shifter assy from a 1952 WD fit?
 
If that 52 WD has the curved shifter it will work, otherwise look for another shifter if that is the problem. There is just as good a chance that the problem could be a little deeper.
