gears J-D 3010

Had the dash off the tractor and changed the linkage on the gearshift leaver that"s on the dash, but now the gears don"t all work.
What steps do I need to take to get the right length on the linkage that go to the shifter?

what gears will it not go into?

Unable to get it in high gear and the other gears don"t line up properly which means you really have to stir the gearshift leaver to get it in a gear
