This is the generator on my "51 WD. I can"t read the tag because it's worn smooth but it has a Delco-Remy cutout and 3 brushes, I suspect it may be an Autolite though. The rear bushing cover is oblong not a triangle and the band over the brushes is a screw clamp not a clip. Sorry about the poor picture but it"s all apart right now for rebuilding. Can anyone tell me the number and mfg? What models did they put on the WD?

If it takes a 3/8" wrench to remove the through-bolts, it is Delco-Remy. If it takes a screw driver to remove the through-bolts, it is Auto-Lite.
 
They are screws, so it must be an autolite as I suspected. I knew the rear cover was an odd shape for a Delco. Any idea on the number?
