hello everyone, need to ask a question, have a wd-45 is this model a pos or a neg ground, just bought it before the snow, now when trying to start and running the generator shows discharging what is tohe right way thanks bob

It came from factory 6 volt positive ground. Could have been converted to 12 volt positive or negative ground with a generator or 12 volt negative ground with an alternator. If properly done, any one of those configurations will work.

Do you have alternator or generator?
Are you running 6 or 12 volt battery?
Is the coil wired with + or - post to side of distributor.

Just because it came from factory positive ground does not mean it must stay that way.

i just bought late last year, it has a genny and a 12 v batt, got a feeling some one did it just to make a sale, will have to see if there is a stamping 6v / 12v thanks thats a start

i got to the tractor weds, it is hooked up as a 6v pos ground, but the cable is a 12v piece of crap, will get a 6v cable/strap to put on, i also disc the genny wires till i get the start problem fix. then i may need advise on how to polorize flow of genny.
