Have a WD with a Gleaner E in it, is there any dimensions on the length of the rods for the governor for pulling, I read in a forum somewhere that the combine is different than the D17. Thanks for any input.

What’s the rod ratio now ? What you looking at doing shorter ? or longer ?
Front control rod is 26 inches, rear control is 6 1/2 inches. It could be correct, but the governors are set different for a combine and this motor is unchanged since it was installed in tractor, I think it should be changed but I have no clue. In fact I don’t know what else should be changed. I bought the the tractor just as it was finished. I have always had JD’s, this is the first AC, I am reading manuals and forums to learn. So any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Bill

You don't measure the rod from the gov arm to the carb. You take it loose at one end. Then pull the throttle down all the way. Then you make the rod just fit with the carb all the way open. I just bend it if its to long. Every time you take the intake off or the carb. You do this. And you should dowel pin the intake and exhaust. Where your ports match.
