Gleaner Engines

I have two Gleaner 6 cylinder engines. One from an F and the other from an A2. Could someone tell me what Allis tractors use these engines or if the ywould fit into any Allis tractor??

I have a D17 that has been converted from diesel to a 6 cyl. engine. I'm not sure which one it has tho. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Keith

The A-II and Early F's used the G-230 power Unit. I have one of each. These engines were never used in a tractor. The larger G-262 which uses the same block was used in D-19. Later F Gleaners used a Chevy six cylinder engine. It may have also displaced 230 CID.

The early Gleaner F combines used the G262 engine, not the G230. The G262 was used in the D19, but used a larger carburetor in the F application (Zenith 62AJ12).
