I am in the process of
purchasing a Gleaner F, serial
number F23493 and a FKS serial
Fks 34228, to be used on a high
school agriscience farm. We will
be restoring them this winter
and using one to combine about
30 acreas of various crops year
to year. More or less it just a
toy to teach restoration and a
little combining with.The F runs
and is in good shape the Fks
doesn't but has two soy heads
and two corn heads to go with
it. Are the parts (gears walkers
and such) interchangeable
between the two? I would also
like to find out the years of
both machines. Both are diesels
if I remember correctly. Any
help or advice would be greatly
appreciated on what to look for
and what to watch for. New to
combines, I have ran haybines
and corn pickers but never got
into combines until now. Thanks
in advance.
