On a gleaner f combine. I noticed a round dome shaped light, about the size of a fifty cent piece, is flashing red. Does any one know what could b wrong to make it flash, or is that normal? Thanks for the help.

On the right hand dash, or above your head in front, or well out on the rear or where?

They have a warning beeper on newer ones, a flashing red light to warn of various problems. Nost notably is to warn the brake is locked on. But might warn the rock trap is open too. Fancier models had a Tateltail setup that monitored shafts and so forth, but don't think you are into that much with your model.

As Paul said, it could be parking brake, cylinder rock door, or straw walker switch. Should have 3 green lights on dash that would be lit until one of these 3 previous mentioned switches are activated then the red light flashes.

Thanks for the responses so far. That flashing red light is near the starter switch. It has 3 smaller white lights under it.

If anyone of the three green lights; brake, door, or walkers are not lit the red light will flash. On my k the brake light bulb was burnt out and causing the red light to flash. replaced the bulb and out went the light. The small lights have 12 volt power constantly and are grounded by the very crude switches on the all of the above mentioned components. Try wiggling the switch flaps to make a better connection.
