Gleaner F2 help

My short F2 corn soybean special is stopping up the walkers in soybeans. It is plugging at the back where the trash is supposed to fall down into the chopper. Its not the chopper its always clear just the back end of the walkers. This is in knee high 25-30 bushel 13% beans.

I put the corn guards on mine and it helped a ton. But once I started corn I took the chopper off and have not had that problem since.

What do your knifes look like in the chopper? If thay are rounded this will cause the plug up in the walkers. If you dont think its the chopper, Take it off and go a round or 2 and I will bet it dont plug up or give you any more problems. Bandit

I have encountered this before, and when the chopper blades get rounded off they will not grab the bean stalks causing the trash to be thrown back up on the walkers. You can change your blades to the oposite side if they have not already been turned over or drop the chopper and get to cutting.

try removing the corn guards they will get in the way of the bean stalks entering into the chopper especially the one in the back that helps keep cobs from being thrown back over the front, son didn't like a few stalks not falling into the chopper so he positioned the rear curtain to direct all of them into the chopper didn't take him long to find out that didn't work to good
