Gleaner model B

Norm Swinfords' book says a B is an A with spike tooth cylinder, pick up reel, and rice tires.
There was also an R, which had a second raddle chain instead of walkers.

The B had B on serial plate.

So, is a B just a modified A?

Being a ?rice special? - is it all just a mod to the A superstructure?

Or was this farmer-upgraded?

I'll repeat. The B is an A with spike cyl, pickup reel, and rice tires, from AC. A neighbor had a later A, with the Buda/AC engine. He put a spike cylinder in it for doing red kidney beans. Cyl and concaves were fairly easily changed.

It's an A . The serial number would start with a B as Joe said and yes as Bob said it is a modified version of the A
