You might try for a price check where ever the farmers in your area get their chemicals. Good dealers will work with you, if you'll buy at least 2.5 gallons.I've got to buy some Glyphosate before spring. Looks like Amazon has the best price for 51%. Haven't checked TS or Runnings. What are the rest of you finding?
Rural King:I've got to buy some Glyphosate before spring. Looks like Amazon has the best price for 51%. Haven't checked TS or Runnings. What are the rest of you finding?
Yeah...................by the ounce of actual glyphosate, the 41% is cheaper at $.42/oz. , compared to the 53% at $.58/oz.So the actual active ingredient glyphosate is the same between the 41% concentration and the 53.8%, right?
To get the same amount of glyphosate, you would have to use 1.312 times the amount of 41% to equal the 53.8%
At Rural King, the 41% is selling for $54.99, the 53.8% for $99.99.
So you would need so spray $72.14 worth of the 41% to equal $99.99 worth of the 53.8%
So unless there's a variable I don't know, seems a stronger concentration of the 41% is the way to go.
Or do I need more coffee.

No. The concentration is different. Taking the concentration in terms of ounces per 2 1/2 gallons, dividing the price of the jug by the ounces, gives you the price per ounce of each brand/jug. It happens that the 41% is cheaper by the ounce. So the actual active ingredient glyphosate is the same between the 41% concentration and the 53.8%, right?
The concentrated is between 41-538%
Some places sell premixed stuff in a spray bottle with much less than the concentrated Roundup.
$88.00 for the 2 1/2 gallon jug at Rural King last fall. 51%. Stay away from Tractor Supply. Higher on everything. Ellis

To figure ounces per jug.....................take total ounces 320, multiply by .41, and you have ounces of actual glyphosate per jug.
32 ounces x 10 = 320 total ounces per jug.
320 ounces x .41 = 131 ounces of ingredient.
Price of jug / 131 ounces of ingredient = price per ounce.
