This is just a reminder as we get into hay season. Make sure the plunger stop is working on the baler.

And run an old bale or two through tripping every ten inches.

At near 70, I’m not sure why I still have a baler but it still works reliably. So I use It to make a few bales each year. As others have mentioned, it is important to keep the knotters clean & dry. My CaseIH baler has never been in the rain since I have owned it for over 25 years.

Another good practice that's regularly overlooked is at beginning of hay season loosen nuts on slip clutch allow clutch to slip then retighten nuts to spec's.

Well of course you still have a baler!! At 76 I still need one or I wouldn't be able to bale my customers' hay
