what are the chances of this happing? Was out blowing snow, ford 3400 tractor, 6 foot blower. bang bang bang chain on auger broke. picked up all the pieces but after trying to put it back together realized i was a couple of links to short. What to do? remembered nighbour borrowed some parts of an old massey bailer and left some gears/chains some place in my shed, went on a hunt, found the chain, guess what, same pitch, length. Not even a link out!!! Little rusty but did the trick. If I hadn't lent the parts i wouldn't have found or thought about that chain.
