Gooseneck Trailer value

Lookiing for opinions on what this trailer is worth. Here's the good: factory built, 20' deck 4' beaver tail, flip down ramps, tri axle 8 lug wheels ( I'm guessing 6000-7000 lb rating on the axles) tires good, at least on 1 axle the brakes are working. Here's the bad: The deck is shot, every board needs replaced, sitting outside for 5-7 yrs. The paint is faded, or gone .The ramps are bent like a bannanna, the beaver tail needs rebuilt, something about a D-4 cat tore them up. So whatya think its worth, oh yeah no title.

Each to their own, but you are looking at a lot of work to end up with a trailer that you probably wont be proud of. Without seeing the trailer its hard to say, but it occurs to me by your description that fixed up its going to be worth 2500 to 3000 and that might be generous. 3000 to 3500 will buy a NICE used gooseneck that size right now.

We picked up a 26' gooseneck at auction about a year ago for 1200. It has at least 10k lb axles probably 12k lb. Has 4 tires per axle, 2 axle. It has hydraulic brakes which are shot. No hydraulic acutator. The brakes look like they came off of a truck, our local trailer builder (huge place) said that it was not a standard trailer brake setup. The trailer was rusted pretty good, we have sanded off about 4 colors of paint (red, blue, green, yellow). The floor is mostly in good condition. It looks like they had a blow out at one time, and the tire went through the floor. The tires are also in bad condition, one was flat when i was pulling it out of the auction and i shreaded another on the way over to our farm. Also the lights all need to be replaced.

$500.00 might be a good price on something like that. I wouldn't give much more than that if any more than that for soemthing in that shape

I wouldn't touch anything without a title, unless it was for off road use only. Only then if I knew the history of the trailer.

There's lots of stolen trailers floating around, and I don't want to be viewed as a possible thief.

Ohio does not recoginise titles for trailers
I reieved a title for my current treiler when I bought it new in Florida and Ohio did not want it and would not issue a new Ohio title for it

Tell me where you can find a nice used gooseneck trailer for $3500 and I will buy it. There is no such thing. Been looking for some time. Just don't find used trailers unless they are someone elses homemade junk.
