Gopher bait applicator

A neighbor is renting a gopher bait applicator (basically a 3 pt single subsoiler which drops gopher poison into trench) and offered to let me use it when he is done. He said the rental place recommended 50hp to use.

Has anyone tried using a Ford 3000 with this type of device? I am overrun with gophers.

ubsoilers run deep, whereas for gophers you are usually about 6 to 8 inches, so no 50HP is needed. 8N pulls easily in my soil type. Proper depth is same as your gopher tunnels. Probe a few before you begin.

204 Ruger works for me!
Just one application, no more problems.

ust not have many of them! It would take a lot of ammo & a lot more of the patience of Job to deal with hundereds of them that are rarely see. See hundreds of mounds over 30 acres.

My pastures are very rough due to these buggers. Around here most people only bait on their hay fields. It is hard on the cutters and very bumpy when bailing. I don't have one of these applicators but since I found out I can rent one for $50 it is well worth it. It seems to work pretty well.
