Back last August I was fortunate enough to find a Jubilee only seven miles from the house. Fellow that had it had grown ill and could no longer use it. I didn't haggle because he was down on his luck. So picked up the Jubilee, almost new 5' brush hog and 5' Gill box blade for $2900.00. That was a little more than I wanted to pay, but she started up and had 40+ lbs oil pressure and a good lift, reasonably straight tin, straight radius rods, clean coolant and oil, etc.
Drove her home early one weekend morning in September and my best friend said, "You ought to paint it". Well, the rest is his fault and of course some mission creep.
Sent the old carb off to Gary Berkey (GB in MT), and searched archives for hours for good information. Still got stuck (or is it just lint-headed) from time to time, but the good folks here were always kind and answered my questions, however silly. I've never been ashamed to admit my mistakes and that helps me learn.
Carb came back from Gary so pristine I had to keep going with the clean and repair so I would have something decent to put it on!
Was slowed down by work, weather and honeydo projects, but finally got her done! Thanks to all the good folks here for the help and advise!!! Now I have to get her dirty and cut some brush...
