Got me a cool tool

Was at a garage sale today saw a very unique tool I'm sure you guys have seen these before but I thought it was cool and had to have it and for five bucks can't go wrong.

Nice--usually called a crate tool, and there's lots of minor variations in the pattern, but a handy thing to have. I know several people who carry one on their tractor, vehicle or ATV as a quick way of taking care of all sorts of little chores from removing a fallen branch to fixing a break in a fence.

Box or crate hatchet. They were rare for a long time then the market was flooded with them from China a few years back. If you have an old one they were handy tools. The better ones from china are still handy.

Good afternoon:
At one time I had a small version of the tool, one piece steel, hammer head at one end, sort of claw at other. Name cast in it was "box terrier". very handy, a small pry-bar and hammer in one piece.

I always knew them as a roofing hatchet also. I have an old one around here somewhere
