Yesterday my WD-45 throttle became eratic and finally it quit on me. It sat for a bit, started up again and went a ways then stopped. i nursed it back into the shed. Seems like under a load is the problem. Is it a governor thing-expensive?

Likely, there's a problem with getting adequate gas flow from the tank to the carburetor, or even a restricted "load" passage inside the carburetor.

Sorry but the way you explained things it is hard for us to help you help your self. Things to check are first off do you have a good spark the is Blue/white and will jump a 1/4 inch gap?? Next pull the drain plug out of the bottom of the carb and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas there for say 5 minutes, catch that liquid gold so you can #look for water.dirt in it and #2 reuse it unless it is half water. If you do not have a good flow there work you way back to the tank till you find where you loose flow. Most governor problems you run into end up with the engine over revving and not being able to get them to slow back down with the throttle lever
