grabby right brake

I've been lurking here for a month or so. I recently recieved my grandparents 1947 2N from my stepfather. I had used it for plowing, discing, hauling etc when I was a kid.

Since picking it up, I had to clean out the hyd/diff, air cleaner, oil filter cannister, and refill with clean fluids. I also had to replace the rusted out rims and get new tires. It was it tough shape as it was loaned out to my former brother-in-law for many years and was stored outside.

I have noticed the right brake works well, but is a bit sensitive and sometimes doesn't unlock easily but will loosen if I back up and tap the right brake pedal.

Any ideas on what I might try first to improve brake performance?

Thanks Much

Could be the brake pawl is hanging up,or rod bushings for brake crossbars are corroded and seize up when applied.Get some solvent.spray, repeat until free.---lha
