Grandpa has not been with us for many years but his tractor is still on the farm.

Grandpa's was gas but my father once purchased a diesel from western Canada.

I believe grandpas oliver has "ROW CROP" in red on the rear axle housing on both sides.

Next time I go to the farm I will take some detailed photos and find out what year he purchased it and how much.

POST CORRECTION:

My uncle bought that tractor in about 1952 not my grandfather.

OLIVER is in white on the left side and ROW CROP is in white on the right side not red.

Hopefully I remember to take my camera to the farm next time I go.

Yes, that's original. The lettering on the axles is yellow too. They didn't have any white on them.

Will be leaving the farm by the weekend and went into the implement shed with my camera for the last time.

Someone tell me what's inside that casting to the right of the gear shift.

It's a powerlift for raising planters, cultivators, or other mounted implements. was used instead of hydraulics.
