have a gravely 16 gem two cyl. briggs and stratton step on brake starts right runs good when i let foot off brake motor dies seat swich good would like a wireing diagram thanks paul

Your tractor was built by ariens & probably the same as ariens ht16 in which case you have several choices.
1-do a google search for gravely gem16+wiring diagram & see if anything comes up.

2-do a google search ariens ht16+wiring diagram & check for wiring diag.

3-goto link below & see if any manuals listed for tractor in manuals listing

4-check local yellow pgs for an ariens dealer,he may be able to provide manual/wiring diagram for ht16.

IF you are the same paul that posted on 9/29 about gem 16 you were told there is a control relay & time delay module on tractor associated with cranking/ign kill circuit which will probably be plugin units located in wiring harness,behind dash on brackets or somewhere on sheetmetal/chassis of tractor,I located a wiring diag on line which is how I became aware of relay/td module,I don't remember website I found diag at.

thanks Joe tried everything can not find wiring diagram not good on computer can not find serial number on tractor I found a switch by rear wheel has three wires on it its on when you step on brakewhen you let up brake it goes do you know what switch is for thanks Paaul

The sw you are talking about is probably the brake sw.Do a google search for gravely gem 16+wiring diagram,click on link to gem 16 manual at external_link.com,in replies are links to download two manuals for gem16,in the manuals there is a wiring diag of tractor,download/save both manuals,partstree website lists the gem16 as being avail with a briggs,kohler or onan eng depending on mod# of tractor,I don't know which manual covers your mod# tractor,depending on eng make there may be differences in wiring,after you download manuals print each wiring diagram & compare to wiring/wire colors on tractor to see which diagram matches your tractor wiring.
